Georgia Notary Fees
Maximum Georgia notary fees are governed by the Georgia Superior Court Clerks' Cooperative Authority. Notary Publics may also charge additional fees to cover travel, parking, document printing, waiting for clients to arrive, and other legitimate job-related expenses. The Notary Public is not an attorney and is prohibited by law from providing legal advice.
$2 Acknowledgment (per signature)
$2 Jurat (per signature)
$25 – Covers time and travel
$1 per mile – Additional mileage over 25 miles round trip
$20 – Outside normal business hours (8am to 5pm Weekdays)
$20 – Waived if appointment booked in advance
25¢ – Per page for individuals needing assistance. Not applicable to business entities.
Grace period: 15 minutes
$15 – Each 15 minutes thereafter (if notary is notified)
If the signer is more than 15 minutes late for an agreed upon appointment and doesn't call or text, the notary will depart the meeting place.
